Job summary

Antech Diagnostics in the United States is seeking a Grossing Laboratory Technician I to prepare, trim, and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist. The role requires adherence to SOPs, accurate grossing notes, and collaboration with pathologists and lab staff to ensure high-quality results.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and proficiency with English for data entry and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in science or Life Sciences strongly preferred.
• Coursework in anatomy/physiology required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: histology procedures and lab terminology.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English for data entry and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Meet minimum production standards for department.
• Properly identify, orient, ink, and trim tissues per SOP.
• Produce accurate and legible grossing notes for pathologist.
• Communicate with Pathologists and Lab staff via email.
• Crosstrain and develop knowledge of multiple specialties within department/lab.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and restock supplies as needed.
