Job summary

Antech Diagnostics is seeking a Grossing Laboratory Technician I to prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs in a fast-paced lab setting.

The position supports the pathologist team, with opportunities to Crosstrain across specialties and participate in lab maintenance, equipment checks, and timely communication with pathology staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in science, Biology or other Life Sciences strongly preferred.
• Coursework in anatomy / physiology required.

Responsibilities

• Meet minimum production standards for department.
• Identify problems and special handling cases.
• Produce accurate grossing notes with code description for the Pathologist.
• Communicate with Pathologists, transcription, and Lab Coordinator emails.
• Identify issues and assist with re-gross requests as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of machines/equipment daily, weekly, monthly.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures; keep work area clean and organized.
• Restock supplies; participate in improving lab efficiency and teamwork.
