Job summary

Ivy Kids Johns Creek is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment and to assist with curriculum activities, supervision, and record keeping. You will foster positive social-emotional growth and ensure compliance with state licensing standards and center policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily records, communicating with families, and participating in staff trainings and events as needed.

Qualifications

• The assistant teacher must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education and experience.
• Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.
• Ability to lift and move children up to 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum activities.
• Supervise daily classroom routines and monitor developmental progress.
• Maintain accurate child records and attendance.
• Provide daily communication to parents and families.
• Uphold health and safety procedures and center policies.
