Job summary

Ivy Kids - Johns Creek is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering a safe, nurturing learning environment for children. You will help implement activities, supervise daily routines, and monitor developmental progress while maintaining accurate records and upholding health and safety standards.

The role emphasizes effective communication with families, compliance with state licensing, and collaboration with staff to foster growth and a positive classroom

Qualifications

• The assistant teacher must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment and help implement curriculum activities.
• Supervise daily classroom routines and monitor children's developmental progress.
• Maintain accurate records of developmental milestones, incidents, and attendance.
• Provide daily communication to parents and maintain classroom decor and organization.
• Adhere to health, safety procedures and center policies.
