Job summary

Ivy Kids is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment for children. You will help implement curriculum activities, supervise routines, monitor progress, maintain records, and foster social and emotional growth through developmentally appropriate practices.

The role requires compliance with state licensing standards, health and safety procedures, and company policies while building positive relationships with children, families,

Qualifications

• The assistant teacher must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• The assistant teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum activities and learning experiences.
• Supervise daily classroom routines and monitor developmental progress.
• Maintain accurate records on attendance, milestones, and incidents.
• Foster positive social and emotional growth using developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing standards, health and safety procedures, and company policies.
