Job summary

Ivy Kids LLC is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher in a safe, nurturing learning environment. You will assist with curriculum activities, supervise daily routines, monitor development, and maintain accurate records while building positive relationships with children and families.

You will ensure compliance with state licensing, health and safety procedures, and company policies, while aiming to contribute to the center’s growth and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with implementing curriculum activities and supervising daily classroom routines.
• Monitor developmental progress and maintain accurate records.
• Foster positive social and emotional growth through developmentally appropriate practices.
• Communicate daily with parents and maintain classroom communications.
