Job summary

Early Years in North Carolina seeks a Technical Assistance Specialist to train, coach, and support early childhood programs. You will collaborate with licensing consultants and community staff to improve the quality and access to child care.

You will lead on-site coaching, CLASS observations, and professional development, designing multi-phase plans and collecting program data to drive funded projects forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and five years of direct service/management experience with children birth–five or Master’s degree with two years of experience.
• TA endorsement or obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Early Educator Certification at Level 11 or obtain within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching, modeling, observations, and feedback to improve teaching practices and early learning environments.
• Earn and maintain CLASS certification on various CLASS tools for multiple age ranges.
• Prepare and submit required reports and assist with grant-funded projects.
• Collaborate with licensing consultants and other staff to enhance program quality and access to child care.
• Develop objectives, identify funding, resources, and monitor progress toward high-quality standards
