Job summary

Save The Children is looking for a full-time Early Childhood and Development Coach in North Carolina. This role involves providing technical assistance and support to Head Start programs, ensuring high-quality education services and compliance with standards. Responsibilities include training staff, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe environment for children.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and at least two years of experience with preschool-aged children, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent coursework in early childhood education with teaching experience.
• At least two years of relevant experience working with preschool aged children.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding and developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and training to classroom staff.
• Monitor child and teacher progress to achieve program objectives.
• Conduct regular observations and provide feedback to education staff.

Skills

Experience with infants and toddlers

Supervision and training experience

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of Head Start Program Standards

Interpersonal and organizational skills

Education

Bachelor degree in early childhood education

B-K Licensure (preferred if in NC)
