Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field required.
• Level 11 or higher Early Educator Certification required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in early childhood education.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, technical assistance, or training to adult learners preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom quality assessment tools, NC child care standards.
• Traveling regularly within Cumberland and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group coaching to child care teachers, administrators, and staff.
• Conduct classroom observations and site visits to identify strengths and gaps.
• Support quality improvement planning and alignment with licensing standards.
• Provide technical assistance to NC Pre-K classrooms and site leaders.
• Develop and facilitate professional development for early childhood educators.
• Maintain documentation of visits, coaching activities, and progress in databases.
• Build collaborative relationships with child care programs and licensing representatives.
