Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You will help maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s development and respects IEPs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, per state licensing requirements.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental and learning needs including IEPs.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff using Cadence‑approved tools.
• Follow Safety and Supervision Manual and document accidents/incidents.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors according to Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
