Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, nurturing environment that supports children's development, including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety procedures and health protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment for each child.
• Greet children and families daily and build professional, welcoming relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs including following IEPs and behavioral support plans.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report accidents/incidents accordingly.
• Assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to Cadence Education policies and Employee Handbook.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as required.
