Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities under the direction of the School Director and Lead Teacher. You’ll help maintain a safe, nurturing environment and assist with Cadence Signature Programs, supporting children’s development including those with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing qualifications for a Teacher Assistant in a licensed childcare center.
• Background clearances and health screenings must be obtained.
• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment and greet families daily.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs.
• Support planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, including documenting and reporting accidents and incidents according to policy.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
