Hargrove is seeking a capable Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to contribute to routine design tasks and assist in larger, more complex projects from our U.S. offices.

You will work under general supervision to produce detailed electrical layouts, diagrams, and specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment, while mentoring junior team members. Ideal candidates have an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting and at least 1 year of experience in electrical/instrumentation

Competenze

• Knowledge and application of NEC.
• Knowledge of CAD drafting standards.
• Ability to perform lighting level calculations.
• Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection.
• Ability to perform voltage drop calculations.
• Ability to route conduit and cable tray.
• Ability to calculate tray and conduit fill.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good presentation and Virtual team skills

Mansioni

• Produce installation details and electrical diagrams under supervision.
• Prepare 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications with review.
• Coordinate work with staff and discipline lead.
• Mentor and guide drafting personnel.
• Assist on-site during startup.
• Check calculations for accuracy and codes.
• Provide status updates on project work and delays.
• Interact with clients to determine scopes of work and technical matters.
• Determine construction quantities and cost estimates.
• Lead design staff to meet scope, schedule and budget.
