Job summary

AutoNation is expanding its e-Commerce team in California, recruiting an energetic Sales Associate to guide customers through the vehicle-buying journey online, by phone, and in-store. You will respond to leads quickly, answer questions, and create a seamless, no-haggle experience that builds trust and loyalty.

You'll help customers compare options, negotiate terms that fit budgets, and transition buyers to the Service department after the sale, ensuring satisfaction and ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Drive to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience, retail preferred.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers online, by phone and in person to guide their vehicle purchase.
• Respond to leads promptly and provide information to enable informed decisions.
• Close deals in a no-haggle environment and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Transition customers to the Service department after purchase and follow up.
