Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Workers Compensation Associate Claims Adjuster in the West Region. You will develop knowledge to investigate, determine liability, evaluate losses, negotiate settlements, and manage an inventory of commercial property/casualty and disability claims through training and mentoring.

This role includes a comprehensive training program, one-on-one mentoring, and on-the-job training, with in-office training planned in Plano, TX in November 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent typically required.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate new claims by reviewing first reports of loss and gathering information.
• Establish action plans based on case facts and available resources.
• Manage an inventory of property/casualty and disability claims; evaluate liability and losses; negotiate settlements.
• Estimate loss costs using available resources and market protocols.
• Determine coverage based on investigation findings and advise policyholders on next steps.
• Use loss management techniques and other resources to support claim handling.
• Update files and provide comprehensive reports as required.
