Liberty Mutual Insurance in the West Region is seeking an Associate Claims Adjuster for Workers' Compensation to join a fast-growing team. The role focuses on thorough investigations, liability decisions, loss evaluation, and negotiating settlements for mid-sized to large commercial accounts.

You will train through a comprehensive program, with mentoring and on-the-job guidance, and must reside within the stated regions to access remote options.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with policyholders and customers.
• Experience translating complex information into clear guidance for stakeholders.
• Licensing may be required in some states; knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Investigates new claims by reviewing initial loss reports and supporting materials; identifies the best contact point to gather information.
• Develops action plans based on facts, protocols, and jurisdictional issues.
• Manages an inventory of property/casualty and disability claims and negotiates settlements within prescribed limits.
• Estimates loss costs using available resources and market protocols.
• Confirms or denies coverage based on investigation findings and advises policyholders on next steps.
• Applies loss management techniques and updates files with comprehensive reports.
• Maintains accurate record-keeping and prepares required reporting.
