Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Claims Adjuster for the West Region. You will investigate, determine liability, evaluate losses, and negotiate settlements for a portfolio of commercial claims, supported by a comprehensive training program and mentorship.

Training will be conducted with on-the-job coaching, and attendance is required. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Boise, ID or listed locations and work in the office twice monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; licensing may be required in some states.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in insurance or claims environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims by reviewing first reports of loss and supporting materials; determine the best first point of contact.
• Establish action plans based on case facts, best practices, and resources.
• Manage an inventory of property/casualty and disability claims; evaluate compensability/liability and losses; negotiate settlements.
• Establish accurate loss cost estimates using available resources and market protocols.
