Camp Galileo is seeking an experienced Camp Director for the San Carlos/Belmont site in 2027. You will lead a seasonal team of educators and staff, opening and operating the camp, ensuring safety, exceptional camper experiences, and strong family communication.

You will manage preseason planning, on-site operations, and post-season wrap-up, while upholding Galileo’s mission and program quality. This role blends leadership with hands-on operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years direct work with students in education settings.
• At least 1 year of supervising or managing adult staff.
• Proven ability to foster safe, inclusive environments for children and families.
• Clear expectations setting, ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve.
• Strong scheduling, staffing, and payroll management skills.
• Calm decision-making in fast-paced, safety-sensitive situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with families and partners.
• Experience with hands-on, project-based learning (STEAM, design, maker programs) is a plus.
• Availability for part-time remote work starting Feb 2026 and on-site June 2026 (varying by location).
• Willingness to travel for up to 3 in-person marketing events; complete all required training.

• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communication; ensure high program quality.
