Job summary

Camp Galileo is seeking an experienced Camp Director for a seasonal, on-site leadership role in California. You will open and operate a Galileo camp location, lead a dynamic team of educators and entry-level staff, and ensure joyful, safe experiences for campers and families while upholding program quality and customer care.

You will manage operations, program delivery, and community interactions through three seasonal phases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families
• Strong written and verbal communication with families, partners, and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Lead camp launch and end-of-summer wrap-up
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communications
• Train and mentor staff; manage scheduling and payroll
• Build partnerships with families and community partners
