Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead a Camp Galileo site for K–8th campers in Milpitas, CA. You will open, operate, and host a seasonal camp with a dynamic team, ensuring exceptional camper experiences, safety, and strong family communication.

You will manage scheduling, payroll, and staff development across phases, collaborating with a Field Program Manager, and representing Galileo in the community during March–Sept 2027.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience with students in education/out-of-school settings.
• At least 1 year supervising or managing adult staff.
• Experience creating safe, inclusive environments and building family trust.
• Proven ability to manage scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families and partners.
• Willingness to travel region for marketing events (up to 3 in person).

Responsibilities

• Open and operate a Camp Galileo location, serving campers and families.
• Lead a seasonal team of educators and entry-level staff.
• Ensure safe, joyful, high-quality program experiences.
• Oversee camp operations, scheduling, payroll, and staff development.
• Serve as primary community face and partner with field program manager.
• Maintain camper safety and family trust at all times.
