Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our K-8th summer camps across communities. You’ll serve as site General Manager, overseeing operations, people, safety, and family experiences to deliver high-quality programs.

You’ll manage a seasonal team, ensure program excellence, and represent Galileo’s mission of developing innovators. The role runs March–September 2027 with phased on-site and remote prep requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven experience setting clear expectations, giving ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Track record of staying calm and making sound decisions in fast-paced situations, including safety issues and challenging conversations with families.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families, partners, and supervisors.
• Experience with hands-on, project-based learning (STEAM, art, design, maker programs) is a plus.
• Availability for part-time remote work starting Feb 2026, and full-time on-site work starting June 2026 (dates vary by location).
• Willingness to travel in the region to up to 3 in-person marketing events, in the preseason.
• Ability to complete all required training before camp begins.
• Ability to meet state requirements to work with children, including mandated screenings and Adult & Child First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsabilités

• Lead camp launch and ongoing operations, overseeing preseason to wrap-up.
• Provide clear expectations for instructional and program standards, with ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Manage training, scheduling, payroll, and performance management for the camp staff.
• Ensure safety, family trust, and program fidelity at all times.
• Communicate effectively with families, partners, and supervisors and build community partnerships.
