Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Texas seeks an Assistant Store Director to support store operations across departments, drive sales and profitability, and mentor staff. You’ll act as the on‑duty leader and may fill in for the Store Director when needed.

Key duties include daily operations oversight, team development, customer service excellence, budgeting and labor planning, and ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail leadership or grocery management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze business metrics and make operational decisions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lead multiple departments in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure company standards are achieved.
• Monitor conditions, merchandising, inventory levels and program execution.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and compliance across departments.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and staff development initiatives.
