Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. You will develop treatment plans and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure comprehensive care.

The role requires state licensure, CCC-SLP preferred within a year, and BLS per facility policy. On-site full-time work includes rotating weekends and holidays and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
• CCC-SLP preferred at hire, required within one year.
• BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and medical history to plan therapy needs.
• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients; develop discharge plans.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments as prescribed.
• Plan rehab programs addressing verbal, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Instruct patients and families for home exercises.
• Coordinate with treatment team and participate in care conferences.
