Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown, OH seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN - Day Shift) to diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages. Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, and education for home continuation.

Licensed SLP is required; CCC-SLP preferred within hire or within one year. BLS may be required at some sites. Benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive health plans.

Qualifications

• Licensure as SLP required in state of practice
• CCC-SLP preferred at hire; required within one year
• BLS certification preferred or required within timeframe for some sites

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs
• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment and discharge plans
• Administer speech language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs
• Design rehabilitative programs for verbal/written language, swallowing, memory, and cognition
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers for home continuation
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences
