Job summary

Mercy seeks a Speech Therapist (Speech-Language Pathologist) to provide comprehensive SLP services across neonatal to geriatric populations. You will perform evaluations, plan treatment, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in SLP, a state license, CCC-SLP within one year, and BLS. One year of experience is preferred; a supportive environment offers professional growth and mentorship

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current or provisional SLP license in the applicable state is required.
• CCC-SLP certification within one year of hire is required; extensions possible at leadership's discretion.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapy and monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Document findings and discharge summaries per departmental standards.
• Mentor students and new staff as needed.
