Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan and implement treatment addressing diverse patient diagnoses. The role requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, IL/WI licensure or both and CCC from ASHA, with CPR/BLS within 90 days.

The position is 30 hours per week with variable days. Responsibilities include comprehensive documentation, inter-disciplinary collaboration, and occasional training sessions for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Performs evaluation/assessment using evidence-based standards to create an effective plan of care.
• Maintains a thorough record of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
• Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on speech language pathology.
• Travel to other locations for cross coverage.
• Must be licensed as a speech language pathologist (WI, IL or both); CCC from ASHA; CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation/ assessment to create an effective plan of care.
• Applies critical thinking and integrative treatment to improve the patient’s functional level.
• Maintains documentation and coding for services.
• Communicates with other disciplines to enhance outcomes.
• Mentors new partners and participates in cost saving initiatives within the department.
