Job summary

Mercy seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for assigned patients in accordance with referral policies and procedures. The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, active licensure, and timely ASHA certification within 1 year of hire, plus current BLS.

Emergency response capability and willingness to care for patients of all ages are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Current or provisional Speech Language Pathologist licensure in applicable state required.
• Certification from American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire (extension at leader's discretion).
• BLS certification required and current before caring for patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral.
• Responds to emergency situations when needed.
• Provides care for patients of all ages as part of a collaborative care team.
