Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for St. Charles Hospital to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages.

You will design treatment plans, conduct evaluations, and lead rehabilitative programs while educating families for home continuation of care. The role requires active licensure as an SLP, CCC-SLP is preferred and must be obtained within one year.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in good standing in the state of practice.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire and required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer SLP treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehab programs addressing language, swallowing, memory and cognition.
• Educate families on therapy continuation at home.
• Collaborate with care team and participate in patient care conferences.
