Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our elementary learning centers. You will lead instructional planning, deliver differentiated, results‑oriented instruction, and design IEP‑driven plans to support diverse learners.
The role emphasizes collaboration, PBIS strategies, and ongoing professional growth. The position requires IL licensure, a bachelor’s degree in education or related field, and experience with IEPs and curriculum development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or closely related field.
- Licensed currently or in process of obtaining IL professional educator credential (PEL).
- Licensed currently or in process of obtaining IL SSE or LBS1 credential.
- Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in alternative/special education.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction using innovative resources and lesson plans.
- Create and implement IEP goals, schedules, and interventions.
- Collaborate in a co‑teaching environment to meet educational objectives.
- Track student progress and maintain detailed records.
