Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary Education program. You will lead instructional planning, deliver differentiated instruction, and implement IEPs in a dynamic alternative education setting.

The role emphasizes PBIS, collaboration with families and staff, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive culture that values innovation and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Licensed or in the process of obtaining IL PEL credential.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress or obtained.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
• Experience with IEPs and special education services.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in core subjects.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Utilize PBIS and positive behavior supports in class.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
