Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional planning for elementary students with IEPs. You will design personalized learning experiences in learning centers or classrooms, deliver targeted instruction, and collaborate with staff.

The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, PBIS, data-driven progress, and ongoing professional growth in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education or related field.
• Licensed or in process for IL PEL credential.
• Licensed or in process for IL SSE or LBS1 credential.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in alternative/special education settings.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction in co‑teaching settings.
• Develop individualized lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with parents, colleagues and administrators.
• Implement PBIS strategies and behavior supports.
• Adapt instruction to diverse learning needs and styles.
