Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery in Las Vegas is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to support managing our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, drive culinary excellence, and demonstrate strong leadership.

You will help maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction in a vibrant casino setting. Responsibilities include supervising staff, contributing menu ideas, controlling costs, and ensuring consistent plating.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Ability to lead, train and develop a diverse kitchen team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff and management.
• Strong commitment to food safety, sanitation and high-quality plating.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsabilités

• Support in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance the menu with seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
• Ensure consistency and presentation of all dishes, upholding restaurant standards.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and manage food costs effectively.
• Participate in weekly inventory counts for accurate stock levels.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations and maintain a clean kitchen.
• Address kitchen challenges and adapt to casino fast-paced demands.
• Create staff schedules to optimize performance during peak hours.
