Job summary

Optimum is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to monitor installations and service calls in our communication-center environment. You will coordinate technicians, track start times, and ensure routes are completed and billed accurately.

Strong multitasking, clear communication, and proficiency with Windows-based systems are essential. In this role you will prioritize customer requests, balance workloads, and assist with service outages while promoting company campaigns.

Qualifications

• Dispatcher experience or equivalent in coordinating service teams.
• Proficiency using a Windows-based computer and basic office tools.
• Strong keyboarding speed and accuracy.
• Clear written and spoken communication abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technician work times and report exceptions through TOA.
• Ensure route activations/deactivations occur properly for start/end of shifts.
• Track first job start times and shift commencement for technicians.
• Contact technicians on overruns to ensure safety or request assistance.
• Monitor lunch/break start times and durations.
• Manage work order pools and use auto routing tools to assign jobs.
• Verify all jobs are completed and routes closed at day end.
• Review drive times and activities for reasonableness.
• Prioritize and dispatch customer service requests to technicians; liaison with customers.
• Balance workload and notify leadership of jeopardy on jobs.
• Notify customers of appointment times and requirements; reschedule missed appointments.
• Perform post-appointment satisfaction calls as required.
• Provision equipment and resolve service issues to avoid truck rolls.
• Notify technicians of outages and maintain outage schedules.
• Reconcile work orders and customer accounts in billing system.
• Promote marketing campaigns and opportunities to customers.
