Job summary

Alta Equipment Group in Lewiston, ME is seeking a full-time Service Coordinator to liaise with service customers, technicians, parts, and vendors and to schedule service appointments. You will support multiple admin tasks, ensuring timely communication and accurate record-keeping.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience and strong MS Word/Excel/Outlook skills, with ERP experience a plus, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous ERP experience is a plus.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers, as well as customers.
• Language skills include reading and interpreting safety rules and procedures; ability to write routine reports and speak before groups.
• Basic math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with money and measures.

Responsibilities

• Answer internal and customer service calls.
• Weekly payroll timecard entry.
• Open and close work orders, recording story lines in each order.
• Cost work orders at a rate of no less than 225 segments per month.
• Follow up with inter-company departments on open issues.
• Monitor work in process (WIP).
• Schedule periodic maintenance for customer equipment.
• Schedule transportation for equipment movement to branches or customers.
• Cross-train with admin staff for back-up duties.
• Research billing and invoicing questions and provide solutions.
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• Maintain consistent attendance and be ready at start time.
