Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to support patients of all ages by implementing the plan of care under the supervision of a PT. The role includes documentation, education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.

Candidates must have an active PTA license, BLS within 30 days, and complete ongoing education related to hip and knee replacement standards as required by the organization.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state-licensed PTA and provide documentation.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Complete required CE for acute stroke care as assigned.
• Pass the board exam at the next available date.
• May have DNV Hip/Knee Certification CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families and other healthcare staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follow and adjust the therapist's plan of care after consulting with the supervising therapist.
• Document in the chart per policy and complete annual education as required by program standards.
• Collaborate with team to ensure seamless rehabilitation and discharge planning.
