Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's Degree and be a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Active PTA license and Basic Life Support certification.
• Complete required continuing education for stroke care as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with policy and completes annual education when required.
• Collaborates with the rehabilitation team throughout the patient care process.
