Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois per IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Completes required continuing education for acute stroke care as mandated by organization.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy and related daily notes.
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement standards when assigned.
