Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will support treatment plans across outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, and home health settings, helping patients restore function and mobility and reduce pain.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the rehabilitation team, accurate documentation, and adherence to HIPAA and infection prevention policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Instruct and supervise patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress per facility policies.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home programs.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to HIPAA and infection prevention policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and staff development.
