Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. You will educate patients and families, monitor progress, and adapt care based on evidence while maintaining high-quality documentation.

The role requires PTA licensure and BLS certification, with ongoing continuing education in line with organization standards.

Qualifications

• Must have an approved PTA credential and state licensure where applicable.
• Strong ability to educate patients, families and other health professionals.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements.
