Job summary

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, have an active PT license, and complete BLS within 30 days. Ongoing continuing education for acute stroke care is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) per IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Commitment to ongoing CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages with plan of care adjustments.
• Demonstrates safe body mechanics and transfers with staff assistance.
• Designs an integrated plan of care with goals, treatment and discharge.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations and selects appropriate assessment methods.
• Documents in the EMR per policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
