Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, updating plans of care as needed. This role offers a sign-on bonus and requires maintaining licensure, BLS, and ongoing education focused on acute stroke care.

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with active licensure.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Completion of required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

Assist patient transfers with proper body mechanics to reduce injury risk.
Treat patients with dignity, empathy, and engagement.
Design and adjust care plans based on patient response and evidence.
Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
Evaluate clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes."
Perform examinations using reliable methods relevant to the chief complaint."
Document according to CTSCP67 policies.
Screen patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
Oversee support personnel and provide feedback.
Complete annual education to comply with hip/knee replacement program requirements.
