Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, updating plans of care as needed. This role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation options for eligible candidates, with a strong emphasis on patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include assessing functional deficits, documenting progress, and communicating treatment recommendations to the care team. BLS within 30 days and ongoing CEU compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the appropriate state.
• BLS certification within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients, developing and adjusting plans of care.
• Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Perform examinations and determine diagnoses and care outcomes.
• Document therapy in the EMR and communicate progress to referring providers.
• Coordinate care with support staff and ensure safe body mechanics.
