Qualifications

• Master's in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication; or Bachelor's in any of the above and Master's in drama/theatre arts, mass communication, or English; or equivalent.
• Possession of an appropriate California Community College Credential. All coursework must be from a recognized college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students through lecture, lab, or performance settings; assess and develop cognitive abilities and communication skills.
• Advise students on programs of study, resources, and effective study skills; refer to support services as appropriate.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback; maintain accurate records of enrollment and progress.
• Plan and organize instruction to align with course outlines and student learning outcomes; update syllabi as needed.
• May participate in curriculum development, committee work, and articulation activities.
