Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an Outside Loan Originator to originate and process mortgage loans in alignment with our product guidelines. The role focuses on sourcing leads, building relationships with real estate agents, and coordinating with processing and underwriting to drive timely closings.

The ideal candidate has NMLS licensure under the SAFÉ Act, experience with retail mortgage products, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NMLS License under SAFÉ Act required.
• Experience with retail mortgage product philosophy, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.
• Experience proactively soliciting new business.
• Encompass experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage products and programs.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate credit requests and trends.
• Advanced communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Source mortgage leads and build relationships with real estate agents and lead sources.
• Analyze loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects.
• Market CCM products to individuals and firms to meet customer needs.
• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions.
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of loans.
• Explain loan types and terms to customers and generate complete loan applications.
• Improve loan documentation by informing applicants of additional requirements.
• Handle customer questions, requests, and complaints; resolve issues.
• Maintain communication with real estate agents or referral sources.
• Coordinate with processing and underwriting to resolve mortgage application problems.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional networking; participate in mortgage sales activities.
