Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston, TX is seeking a Secondary Classroom Teacher to implement instruction in assigned subject areas and help students reach their maximum potential. You will develop engaging lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, assess progress and collaborate with specialists to support IEP goals while maintaining a positive classroom.

This probationary/term position requires a valid Texas teaching certificate and strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Valid Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate.
Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading requirements met, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction and develop lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum.
Prepare lessons with accommodations for diverse learning styles and student needs.
Assess student learning and modify curricula for IEPs in collaboration with special education staff.
Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
Communicate with parents and staff to support student progress.
