Job summary

Spring Branch ISD seeks a Secondary Classroom Teacher to implement instruction in the assigned subject areas and help each student reach their potential. The professional exempt role reports to the Building Principal and follows district curriculum guidelines.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, valid Texas teaching certificate (or out-of-state equivalent), ESL certification within the first year if not already obtained, and required content and SoTR exam compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or equivalent; ESL cert required within 12 months if not already obtained.
• Content exam and SoTR requirements must be met where applicable.
• Certification must meet state/federal qualifications for the position.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district instructional philosophy and develop lessons aligned to curriculum.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for learning differences; follow TEA and district policies.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt curricula in collaboration with special education staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to set goals and supervise teacher aides/volunteers; use tech to enhance instruction.
