Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic events coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, at a Michaels location in Roseville.

You will deliver friendly customer service, assist guests in finding products, and support checkout processes with a focus on a stress-free experience. You’ll engage a diverse range of guests, guide activities, and upsell program benefits while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience coordinating events for groups or children preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants, including face painting and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup or emergency plans.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up and cleanup for each event.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production; participate in daily store cleanliness.
