Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage customers, guide participants in crafts, and help with add-ons and enrollments while maintaining safety and a cheerful store environment.

The role involves coordinating multiple activities, assisting with BOPIS/SFS processes, and supporting standard operating procedures to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide participants in craft activities; perform face painting and related activities.
• Facilitate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per company standards.
• Assist customers, help locate products, and provide solutions; enroll in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork; maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Support truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes; participate in SISO and AD sets.
• Follow SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully with teammates and customers.
