Job summary

Michaels in Roseville, MI is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and deliver in-store events, including kids' birthday parties and classes. You will engage customers, assist with product selection, and support checkout and omni-channel processes to ensure a smooth guest experience.

You will also help with stocking, visual merchandising, and maintaining store standards, while delivering friendly service and creative problem solving in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children's events preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events within the Michaels store, including children's parties and craft classes.
• Engage customers of all ages with a fun, creative environment and provide solutions.
• Assist with checkout, product location, and Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Support store operations such as stocking, planograms, and recovery tasks.
• Communicate with clients and store team; adjust events based on feedback.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and follow SOPs.
