Break Time Convenience Store Shift Leads support the management and operation of Break Time Food Service Programs, upholding high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and policy adherence during shifts. They are energetic team members who help ensure smooth, friendly service.

Responsibilities include customer service, merchandising, food preparation, and supervising staff while maintaining food safety, inventory, and regulatory compliance across the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• ServeSafe certification or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to perform math to make change and manage shifts.
• Able to learn new concepts and operate a computer.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with fast, friendly service; resolve complaints promptly.
• Promote sales using suggestive selling techniques.
• Follow recipes and guidelines for food prep; ensure correct times, temps, and portions.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment and food items.
• Assist in supervising and training staff on prep and execution of food programs.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Support management in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Comply with all store policies and regulatory requirements.
• Operate POS systems and handle basic math for transactions.
